Looking For A Blusher?

Finding the right blusher can be a difficult decision so I am going to show you three of my blushers that could be right for you:

Left to Right: BYS Blusher, Sleek Blush, MAC Blush.

BYS Blusher in 'Pretty in Pink'
-I bought this at K-mart about a year ago, to be honest I hardly ever use this but it is a cute colour that could work for someone on a budget.

Sleek Blush in 'Rose Gold'
-This is probably my favourite blush of all time! It is a gorgeous colour and is supposedly quite alike some of the famous Nars blushers. Sleek blushers are highly pigmented and look lovely on the cheeks. I bought this from Luxola for a very reasonable price for the quality of this product.

MAC Mineralize Blush in 'Warm Soul'
-This is a really cute and quite subtle colour that enhances your cheeks and makes them all lovely and shimmery. This product was a gift but I am sure you could find it at the MAC stand in Myer. Because this product is higher end it is a bit expensive but you pay for the quality of the product.

I hope you guys like this quick post and it inspires you to maybe have a look for a new blusher or hunt down an old one that you have hidden away. xo

What I Am Using On My Face - Spring Edition

Hey guys! I am SO sorry that I haven't posted in forever! I have just been SUPER busy! Okay so I thought you guys might like to see my springtime skincare and make-up routine, so here you go:

Skincare:
-Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash
I love this cleanser it is amazing and gentle on the skin and since I have been using it day and night I have had zero blemishes! Yay!

-Dr DeLewinn's Day Cream Moisturiser:
Yes I did a review on this product and I thought it was okay but I have given it another chance and I have been loving using this in the mornings.

-Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser
I use this at night and it keeps my face hydrated until I wash my face again in the morning. This is a lovely moisturiser that would suit people with oily skin, because obviously they would want a light moisturiser but I have normal/sensitive skin and I still love it!

-Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel
I have been applying this to an area of my face that has been quite dry and slightly flaking and this has really helped out.

Make-up:
-Dove Tinted Moisturiser
I have really stripped back the make-up that I wear and instead of using my regular BB cream, I pulled this out of my drawer because I used to love this product a while ago and I have really liked using it! I can easily apply it without a brush and it gives my skin a lovely clear and dewy glow for nice sunny days.

-MAC Studio Finish Concealer
I spoke about this in a previous post but I am still loving this to cover dark under-eye circles and any redness on my face.

-Burt's Bees Nourishing Mango Lip Balm
My lips get dry in summer and winter so this lip balm is an absolute staple!

-Chi-Chi Lip Gloss in 'Serial Dater'
I was looking for a cute coral colour for spring and summer and I found this in my collection of lip glosses. It doesn't last very long so you have to re-apply it once or twice throughout the day but other than that I think the colour is perfect for the warmer weather.

Okay so I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Comment below some of the things you have been loving as it gets into the warmer weather and I will make sure to post more often from now on! (Hopefully) xo

August Favourites

August Favourites

With August finished I thought I would share with you all my favourites over the past month.

During the winter months my Burt's Bees lip balm has been an absolute staple. I love this product all year round but in winter I have found my lips getting dry throughout the day and this lip balm has really helped keep my lips moisturised and conditioned. It smells AMAZING - grapefruit is one of my favourite smells! It also lasts a long time (I bought it ages ago and use it at least three times a day and it is still lasting.) If you haven't previously tried any Burt's Bees products then this will be a perfect one to start off with. Available in most chemists and department stores for around $7.00 - this is a definite repurchase for me!

Recently on cooler days my hands have been getting a bit dry and cracked. So I went out and bought the Nivea Intensive Nourishing Hand Creme with macadamia nut oil because it smelt amazing and looked like it could work. The product sinks into your skin quickly and doesn't leave your hands feeling oily. Within days I could see results as my hands became smoother and the cracks and redness began to fade. This product is a winter essential!

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I bought a few things from Luxola
One of the products I have really been loving is the Sleek blush in Rosegold. It gives a healthy sheen to your skin and is super pigmented so you don't need to use much. It has a slight shimmer that highlights your cheeks and gives the illusion that you have been running around with the wind - minus the wind-blown hair! I usually don't wear a lot of blush but I have really been reaching for this more often than not.

A couple of weeks ago, I went away for a few days and forgot to pack my cleanser. Oops! Big mistake - a few days after I had a few blemishes (nicest way to put them) and it made me realise what a great job my cleanser was doing on my skin and how much I need to use it. I love all of Simple's products as they are natural and perfect for sensitive skin. I am currently using (and loving) the Simple Kind to Skin Facial Wash and the Hydrating Light Moisturiser. The face wash leaves my skin feeling super clean and free of make-up. Using these products my skin has been really bright and clear and I only get blemishes once in a blue moon!

A few days ago I tried this product but I already know that I am going to love it! It is the MAC Studio Finish concealer. This is amazing for covering dark circles under the eyes and any blemishes or redness on your skin. The other day I went out and literally only wore this concealer and my skin looked lovely and natural. It is highly pigmented so you only need to dab a tiny dot on anything you want to cover on your face. I think I will now be using this product a lot.

Sick of eating toast for breakfast, I decided to start making smoothies in the morning. I use frozen raspberries, fresh strawberries, Greek yoghurt and milk and put it all in my blender. Smoothies are a delicious and heathy breakfast that keep my energy up until lunchtime. I have just been loving having something fresh and delicious for breakfast!

Okay this is a bit of an odd one but I have been LOVING french braids! My friend did a french braid on my hair the other day and I got complimented by multiple people on how pretty my hair looked and how it suited me. I have attempted to braid my hair for ages and never been able to do it, especially considering how thick, wavy and layered my hair is! But I gave it another go and I think I can actually braid hair now! It took some practice but I think I have got it. I wouldn't stay I have 'mastered the art' of braiding hair but I can do a french braid on my own hair so I will be wearing it like that more often from now on.

The last thing is a movie that I watched a couple of weeks ago. I have heard many people say that 'The Breakfast Club' is the greatest movie of all time and I hadn't watched it yet. Something came up and I had to watch the movie for research of the time era etc. So I sat down, with some chocolate (how can you watch a movie without chocolate) and watched The Breakfast Club. It was AMAZING!!! It is currently my favourite movie and I could watch it again and again on repeat for days on end! Basically (if you don't already know) it is about five teenagers who are stuck in detention at school...I won't give anything else away - you will have to watch it!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post, comment below if you would like me to do a monthly favourites each month! I think I will anyway because it was fun to make! :)
If you have done a favourites post on your blog, link it below for others to see and I will also read it because I love knowing the sort of things people have been enjoying! xo
